There are four types of tokens on the TRON network: TRX, TRC10, TRC20, and TRC721. Of the four, TRX is the primary cryptocurrency on TRON and has an extensive range of applications. The other three token standards are outlined below:
TRC10
TRC10 is a native token standard on the TRON blockchain and does not require the TRON Virtual Machine (TVM). All TRON accounts can pay a fee of 1,024 TRX to issue TRC10 tokens.
TRC20
TRC20 is a technical standard created for issuing tokens via smart contracts on the TRON network. Any smart contract created using this standard is essentially a TRC20 contract. For wallet providers and crypto exchanges looking to integrate TRC20 tokens, all relevant information about the smart contract, including the contract functions and events, can be found within this standard.
TRC721
TRC721 is a standard interface for issuing non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, on the TRON network and is fully compatible with ERC721.
TronLink provides full support for all four of the token types listed above. To identify the specific type of a token, users can refer to the token details.
