Overview
Starting from TronLink v4.19.7, a 0.85% Service Fee will be applied to specific trading pairs to support the operation of our product. This guide explains when the fee is charged, how it is calculated, and where to view its breakdown.
1. Why is this fee charged?
By integrating with SunSwap V4 Smart Router, TronLink Swap’s upgraded routing engine now delivers highly optimized exchange rates across your trades. Additionally, a service fee will be charged by TronLink to further fuel platform development and support future feature expansions.
2. When does the fee apply?
| Trading Pair Type | Service Fee Applied? | Fee Rate |
| No-Service-Fee | No | 0% |
| Standard | Yes | 0.85% |
| Fee Rate Unavailable | No | 0% |
Note: Service Fees are direction-specific. For example, a swap from Token A to Token B may have no Service Fee, while the reverse swap may still incur one. The system automatically decides whether the Service Fee should apply when you switch directions.
3. How is the fee calculated?
- The fee is only taken from the token you pay, not the token you receive.
- The fee is trimmed to the token’s decimal precision, with no rounding.
Example:
- Your Swap: 100 USDT for USDD
- Trading Pair Type: Standard
- Service Fee Calculation: 100 × 0.85% = 0.85 USDT
- Actual Amount for Swap: 100 − 0.85 = 99.15 USDT
- Actual Service Fee: 0.85 USDT
4. Where can I see this Service Fee?
After entering the amount on the Swap page, a Service Fee row will appear below Rate and Swap Fee:
Service Fee 0.85 USDT [?]Tapping the "?" icon will bring up a tooltip with a "Learn more" link that directs you to this document.
- If your swap qualifies as a no-service-fee trading pair, the entire line will be completely hidden instead of showing "0 USDT".
- The confirmation page should display the exact same Service Fee amount as the Swap page; in the event of any inconsistencies, the amount on the confirmation page will prevail.
5. FAQs
Q1: Are the Swap Fee and Service Fee the same thing?
No. The Swap Fee is the underlying routing fee charged by the SunSwap V4 Smart Router and belongs to the DEX protocol. The Service Fee is an independent fee charged by the TronLink wallet on specific trading pairs. These two fees are calculated and displayed separately to avoid confusion.
Q2: Which trading pairs have no Service Fee?
TronLink will update the list of No-Service-Fee trading pairs according to liquidity and market conditions. As a result, a trading pair's Service Fee may change over time.
Q3: Will I be wrongfully charged during network volatility or API errors?
No. If the system cannot confirm whether the Service Fee applies, TronLink will default to a 0% Service Fee to ensure you are never incorrectly charged due to system errors.
Q4: Can I see the estimated Service Fee amount before swapping?
Yes. The fee updates in real-time on both the Swap and confirmation pages once you enter a swap amount.
Q5: Can I check the Service Fee for my past transactions?
Yes. Tap any past transaction under Records on the Swap page to view its full fee breakdown on TRONSCAN.
