How to Use Multisig Vote & Gain Rewards

I. What Is Multi-Signature?

  1. A multi-signature transaction requires at least two digital signatures to complete. Single-signature transactions are a more common form, where only one digital signature is needed for a transaction. 
  2. Multi-signature ensures that a transaction can only be completed when the number of signatures meets the requirement, which makes it more convenient and secure. Therefore, it is widely applied to multi-party joint asset management. 
  3. Users are required to set up a permission group to give other addresses access to the multi-signature account before initiating a multi-signature transaction. To learn more about how to set multi-signature permission, please refer to Multi-Signature Tutorial.

II. How to Vote with Multi-Signature in TronLink App?

  1. Tap "Vote with multisig" to initiate multi-signature voting;mceclip0.png
  2. Enter the multisig account with which you want to vote;
  • You may select from the accounts below, type in an address, or scan a QR code to enter the address;
  • Make sure you have the permission to vote with this account (required permission: Owner, or the permission to vote and claim rewards under Active).mceclip1.png
  1. Select an SR to vote for;
  • Tap the "Vote" button on the Multisig Votes & Rewards screen; mceclip2.png
  • Select the SR(s) you want to vote for, and tap "Next Step";mceclip3.png
  • Enter the number of votes for each SR;

  • Tap "Confirm" to confirm the information and sign.mceclip5.png

 

  1. After you have confirmed to submit the transaction, go to Multisignature Settings;
  • Select the permission group you want to use; 
  • Set the period of validity for signature, which should be no longer than 24 hours. (Other members of your selected permission group must sign within the period defined, otherwise this multi-signature transaction will expire.)

  1. Upon completion, you can view this multi-signature transaction and its status in Wallet Details > Multisignature Transaction. 

 

Note: In addition to the steps above, you can also vote by tapping "Quick Vote" or by tapping the SR you want to vote for. 

  • You can initiate a quick vote by tapping "Improve" on the Multisig Votes & Rewards screen or tapping "Vote" and "Quick Vote";

  • Tap an SR and vote.

III. How to Claim Rewards Using Multi-Signature in TronLink App?

  1. Tap "Vote with multisig" to initiate a rewards claim;

  1. Enter the multisig account with which you want to claim rewards;
  • You may select from the accounts below, type in an address, or scan a QR code to enter the address; 
  • Make sure you have the permission to claim rewards with this account (required permission: Owner, or the permission to vote and claim rewards under Active).

  1. Tap "Claim Rewards";
  • Tap "Claim Rewards" on the Multisig Votes & Rewards screen.

  1. After you have confirmed to submit the transaction, go to Multisignature Settings; 
  • Select the permission group you want to use;
